59 miles and 5,748 feet of ascent!!

Today we are going to Kinlochewe via Bealach na Ba, one of the most iconic climbs in Scotland.  How best to describe this...... cold, windy, stunning and a tough ride. It's an interesting road, 1 car wide, no caravans, lorries or vehicles over a certain length or width.

On the way up if the passing place is on the left you have to give way to people, if the passing place is on the right they give way to you.  There are highland cattle and the odd stag in the road, which just make life more interesting.

I stopped at one point and forgot I was clipped in, the colour drained from the face of the driver in the white car coming towards me as I disappeared from his view, Tbh I felt quite sorry for him and was so embarrassed, I'm pleased to say  my pride was hurt but very little else.

The above image is of Callum the Stag, apparently during Covid people visited the Carpark near where he camps and fed him. He now sits patiently waiting for folk to turn up and feed him!!  I think he is a handsome looking sort of fellow!

It's a proud moment when you finally get to the top 😊
