I've been to Scotland a number of times, usually to see friends and on a number of occasions to the Speyside Whisky Festival, if you haven't ever been to a Whisky Festival and want to try one, this is definitely the one to do.  It's the most eclectic of events, but equally good fun!!

Nothing really prepares you for the beauty of Scotland, the vastness and emptiness of it, having worked and lived in towns and Cities most of my life, the 'huge' sky is wonderful. Its invigorating, I  can only describe as feeling as if I had been set free.  The stunning views, the food - OMG I'm going to die, it's tasty and wonderful.  I think I will need to go on a diet at the end of this bike ride either that or stop eating (which is not going to happen 😬)

It's so difficult to capture some of views, however this gate picture, it's very random and I thought it was quite

funnyπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Today was a fairly flat sort of ride, 61 miles with just 2,067 ft of ascent, so a great start to the trip, with a 20 mph++ headwind and driving rain.  It didn't damper the spirits it just slowed us all down a bit.
