Last night was very wet, the clouds hovered on the mountains ποΈ just the tops jutted through the cloud. It's quite beautiful in an odd sort of way. So no wandering round look at Nauders, I needed give my bike some TLC.
We have 4 guides with us for this trip. Tina (the boss), Seb (I met him on the Portugal Trip) Jayne & Chris. Tina managed to get the hotel to switch on the radiators last night, so we could get stuff dryed - an absolute βοΈ. All 4 of them, are doing a fab job in tough, wet conditions. Today they have gone over and beyond & I can't thank them enough.

Yesterday we followed the line of the River Inn, a tribututary of the Danube, it's the 3rd largest tributary in Europe.
Today we left the River Inn and rode along the Adige, the 2nd longest river in Italy, on the most amazing bike paths. 58 miles (93 km), conquered 1,430 feet (437 metres) of elevation. However, we had the most amazing descent - Epic π₯°. Leading up to lunch 8 of us formed a peloton, put our heads down and went for it. It was a joy.
It's been quite a day, one way or another, unfortunately following lunch, I got totally lost when my Garmin packed up, Chris from PT picked me up and took me to the bike shop. The amazing guy there fixed the bike problem in 10 mins & charged €15 - superb.
So now in Bolzano —the stunning capital of South Tyrol, and our first full day in Italy.
This city is home to the prestigious Free University of Bolzano, where lectures are delivered in English, German, and Italian, showcasing its rich cultural heritage. Bolzano also serves as the headquarters for the Italian Army’s Alpini, High Command.
In 2020, Bolzano earned the top spot alongside Bologna, as the best city to live in Italy, celebrated for its good quality of life. so it will be interesting to have a look around this evening and find out whyπ

So, I'm off for a shower & I may well have a glass of wine π·. Fingers crossed tomorrow will be less eventful. On the positive side today it didn't rain π thank you for reading and have a good evening.
