Thursday πŸš΄β€β™€οΈβ˜€οΈπŸŒ¬οΈπŸŒ¬οΈ

Today was very very windy, but slightly cooler only 26o apparently. Β I had negotiated with my OH that if I did a slightly longer and hillier ride today that I would not ride tomorrow, as it will be our last day this seems reasonable. I managed to get all the way to the top of the mountain and down in a loop. So I’m feeling chuffed with myself. Β  Only 42 miles but with 4,409ft of ascent (67.5 km’s 1,344 m) Β which is comparable to my French trip last year. This equates to approx 1,000 ft of ascent every 10 miles which isn’t a bad achievement. Β Β

Sunday 😊

I always consider a winter sun holiday as essential, I would rather have a week at the end of January early February than mid summer. Β The winter blues can really affect your mood, Christmas has been and gone, the Easter holiday seems like an age away, in the UK, it’s usually cold, normally wet, windy and sometimes snows. Generally going away at this time of year is cheaper, which is also a big plus!
