Yesterday we had lunch in Haltwhistle, which apparently is the geographical centre of the United Kingdom π¬π§. Everyday is a school day π. Today started with a very short dip in the river by the hotel before breakfast. The promised rain duly arrived, however, it was a short shower so fortunately not the promised downpour.

Apart from a short section at the beginning, today was along cycle paths, running along side the River Tyne. Lots of people were out running and training for the Great North Run. Arriving at the Quayside in Newcastle was amazing, a fab vibe with lots of stalls selling a huge variety of different foods. We stopped for lunch at the Cycle Hub, a wonderful cycle cafe on the quayside.

The bike paths continued after lunch along the River Tyne. The weather improved dramatically & the sun came out. Our ride ended at Fish Quay in Tynemouth. Today we cycled 39 miles (63 kms) with only 1200 ft (378 m) of ascent. So a total of approx 122 miles with 5,500 ft of ascent. A fab route. 3 fab days with great company what's not to like. Thank you for reading and I'll see you again soon.

Great reading... And this one sounded quite pleasant rather than my usual reaction to your tours of, "Wow, you must be mad "π€£
Thank you Julia, this trip was very scenic and a great one to do
