Apparently it was ok to sail this morning, so the bikes were loaded onto the boat and off we went to Hvar. π΄βοΈππ
Vela Luka was lovely, quite a big port full of lovely Yachts, Catamarans and our boat β΅οΈ π it is also famous for the worlds longest mosaic which runs along the promenade π

Hvar is apparently the party destination in Croatia ππ·, personally speaking I am quite happy not to join the party with the beautiful young things π
As we sailed to Hvar the sail was up on the boat π» I'm not sure I have salty sea dog legs π€’ I'll leave the sailing to Clipper Kaz ππ
As the weather has been unexpectedly good, we did the planned ride. We are still on our e-bikes π The lavender fields we cycled past are not in bloom atm. The local farms/shops etc. are selling every lavender product you could think of soaps, oils, perfume etc. so I would conclude the harvest was good this year. The intense smell when you visit one of the shops is quite something!
At the high point in Hvar is a large fortress which has fabulous views from the top. The road between Hvar and Stari Grad is quite short and it's beautully surfaced, lovely to ride on π΄βοΈππ

We were late back this evening having had several lectures or "chats" from our guide on the history of the area. The most interesting one was at the top of a mountain, although personally I felt that 50 mins at the top of a mountain learning about Croatian history was a tad over the top.
Overall we had a good day, 2 rides thru some beautiful villages & a walk around the old town. ππ
Now I'm off to bed, I'll see you in the morning xx
