We started in the lovely seaside town of Silloth, cycling along the Solway Coast, by beaches and gorse strewn inlets. Going past some tiny seaside villages and salt marshes with lots of cattle wandering around, lovely to see π

At the start a couple of people did dip their tyre in the Irish Sea, tbh it looked very cold, uninviting & slippy so we decided not to take that option.

This mornings route was pancake flat, giving us plenty of time for faffing π. Coming thru Carlisle we passed a McVitie's biscuit factory, the smell was lovely π₯°, equally we passed some right smelly farms. Cycling along the bike paths thru Rickerby Park, Carlisle was lovely and looks like a great place to spend some time. We passed some very nice flat golf courses, so it would be great to come back and have a round β³οΈποΈβοΈ

Following a lovely lunch we had a bit of a hill to go up, nothing to taxing, before arriving in Brampton. According to Strava we have cycled some 50.5 miles (81.36 km) with 1627 ft (496 m) of ascent. It really doesn't feel like we have done anywhere near that sort of distance. We've had lots of stops and generally enjoyed the views. Tomorrow is supposed to be a little "lumpier" (I think that's a word π€·βοΈ) so we can see how it goes.

Thank you for reading, we are now off to explore Brampton. I'll leave you with a picture of some of cows π (they seemed quite friendly) I'll see you tomorrow.

Please leave a comment or ask a question, I'll get back to you as soon as I can, your email address won't be published π if you prefer not to leave a comment, a star rating would be great, or do both π΄π
