To kick things off in a great way, last night a few of us arrived in Munich as Stephen, one of the group observed, a few of us went to a Vietnamese restaurant, had Thai red curry, whilst he sat drinking French wine & went to see an Italian Opera, All very German π€£π€£.
Who would ever of guessed that the day I decide to go for a wander there is a massive football match on π³ apparently PSG vs Milan in the Champions League final, football fans & fan zones everywhere π¬π±. I know didly squat about football, what I do know is who ever wins tonight, there will probably be some sore heads tomorrow π«¨π₯΄.

Today, Chris, Stephen, Paul (fellow cyclists) & I, visited the Dachau Memorial π₯². A Nazi Concentration camp during WW2, it was harrowing. It is important that we remember the horrors of the holocaust. On a perfect summers day, it is difficult to imagine the horrors that occurred and how people could inflict such pain on other people. The place is so much bigger than I imagined.
There is not a lot I can say to explain how it makes you feel π₯π₯ I have attached some photos. All I can say is that anyone (and I include myself in this) that's never lived through war cannot possibly imagine the pain, suffering and horror.

The last picture is one of Stephen, Paul & Chris near to one of the fan zones in the centre of Munich ππ΄βοΈπ΄βοΈ. The whole group have a briefing this evening & then we start our trek to Rome. I'll be posting daily updates π΄βοΈπ΄βοΈππ and praying for good weather π€π.

Please leave a comment or ask a question, I'll get back to you as soon as I can, your email address won't be published π if you prefer not to leave a comment, a star rating would be great, or do both π΄π

I took my daughters to Krakow for a Christmas market and we went to Auschwitz whilst there-I know, nothing quite says Christmas like a concentration camp! The scenes will stay with us all for life π’
